The Tea on L.A. Girl Cosmetics

When it comes to makeup, one thing I personally don't believe in is spending an arm and a leg on products. Don't get me wrong, I do own some makeup from higher end brands and I love shopping at Sephora and Mac just as much as the next girl, but I really enjoy finding products that are just as good, if not better in some cases, that are more are more affordable alternative. In reality, everyone can't afford to spend $100 at a time on makeup. That is why I appreciate brands like L.A. Girl. The quality of their makeup is SO amazing and the price range is truly affordable for every budget. You can find them online or I've found that most beauty supply stores carry their products. I wanted to highlight a few of the products that I've been using recently that I love.

Glazed Lip Paint
1. Hot Mess 2. Tango 3. Flirt 4. Babydoll 5. Bombshell 6. Blushing 7. Coy 8. Daring 9. Pin-Up

The Glazed Lip Paints are probably one of the more popular or well known products by L.A. Girl. They came out last year and many people considered them to be a more affordable version of the Too Face Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick. Now, I do own some of the Too Faced Melted lipsticks and I must say as far as pigmentation they are very similar however the formula of the two are completely different. The L.A. Girl website describes the Glazed Lip Paints as having "the intensely pigmented appearance of a lipstick, with the ease and glossy finish of a lipgloss". There's a wide range of colors, 18 shades to be exact ranging from nudes to brights to deeper reds and vampy purples. The thing I love about these Lip Paints is that they're formulated with vitamin E and peppermint oil which gives them a really nice minty scent. Also, these retail for $4 compared to $21 for the Too Faced ones.
HD Pro Conceal
1. Espresso 2. Warm Honey
These concealers have been raved about on beauty blogs and YouTube for almost a year now and rightfully so. They're everything. If you like the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer then you will love this concealer just as much. The number one thing I appreciate about this concealer is that there is a wide range of colors to fit every complexion, 24 shades to be exact. This concealer has a thicker consistency, yet it feels lightweight underneath the eyes and is super blendable. Because there are so many shades to choose from, it's easy for anyone to choose the perfect color to highlight, conceal, or even contour. I like the soft, brush tip applicator to because it makes applying the concealer fool proof. This concealer retails for $5 on the L.A. Girl website but I'm pretty sure I only paid $2.99 for it at my local beauty supply store so, talk about a steal!

Booming Lash & Super Mega Mascara

1. Super Mega Mascara 2. Booming Lash Mascara
Both of these mascara's are great for what they are. They're not my absolute favorite but I do really like them. The Booming Lash Mascara is great for separating your eyelashes and making them nice and long while the Super Mega Mascara is great for volumizing your eyelashes and making them look fuller and thicker. Each retails for $5 on the L.A. Girl website but I actually purchased mine as a set for $5.

Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss

1. Rebel 2. Timeless 3. Bazaar 4. Dreamy
I saved my favorite L.A. Girl product for last. It seems like everyone is doing a liquid matte gloss. From Anastasia of Beverly Hills to Dose of Colors to drugstore brands, the liquid lipstick trend is so REAL in beauty right now. I mean everybody is doing it lol. L.A. Girl just released these Matte Pigment Gloss' and they are the business. You can see from the swatches alone just how pigmented they really are. And when I say they are matte, honey, they are MATTE. You definitely need to apply a lip balm to your lips prior to applying this lipstick. I wore the nude shade Dreamy yesterday and it was super long wearing and even stayed put while eating. If you are not someone who cares for a super matte lip, you could always apply a lip gloss on top of these and they would still be just as nice. There are 16 shades, something to compliment everyone and I know I will definitely purchasing more of these in the near future. They retail for $5 on the website but I purchased mine for $3.99.
